FARMWORKS PRIVACY POLICY
1. General
FarmWorks Australia Pty Ltd ACN 098 350 308 and its subsidiary companies (FarmWorks) have adopted a Privacy Policy to ensure that it handles private information about individuals responsibly. This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time. FarmWorks abides by the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988.
2. Personal Information
a) Personal information about prospective employees.
FarmWorks collects, holds and uses personal information about prospective employees. Typically this includes a job applicant's name, address, career history and any other required information. This information is needed to assess the suitability of a candidate for a particular position. When this information is no longer required it will be destroyed.
b) Personal Information about Customers
FarmWorks collects, holds and uses personal information about customers of FarmWorks. This information includes names, addresses, date of birth, phone numbers, Australian company numbers and financial information such as your income, expenses, debit and credit history and information about your use of the products and services which we offer.
This information is needed to:
I. Be able to provide you with a specific product or service. If you do not provide this personal information we may not be able to provide you with the product or service you have requested.
II. Establish a point of contact for the supply of product and pricing information, invoicing, collection of outstanding accounts, the promotion of new and updated products and services.
III. Assess your credit worthiness.
IV. Inform you about other products or services offered by FarmWorks.
V. Carry out our business which includes performing our internal administration and operations including: accounting, risk management, record keeping, archiving, systems development and testing and staff training.
VI. Develop new products and services.
VII. Undertake planning, research and statistical analysis.
VIII. Assist you in your queries.
IX. Prevent fraud and crime in relation to your accounts.
X. Fulfil our legal requirements (for example, disclosure to Government authorities, law enforcement agencies or the courts).
When we collect personal information from you, we will inform you of the purposes for which it is collected. Primarily, this will be to provide you with the product or service you have requested and the administration of that product or service.
3. Source of Collection
FarmWorks usually collects information regarding prospective employees either from the job applicant or from an employment agency who collects this information on it's behalf or from authorised references provided by the applicant.
FarmWorks usually collects personal information regarding customers, or the directors of the customer, directly from the customer. This information is generally provided on the submission of the application for a trading account with FarmWorks Australia or Livestock, the "offer and acceptance" in the case of Realestate or upon the application for a financial service to Financial Services. Financial Services may also obtain personal financial information from Bank West.
Other account information is sourced from credit reference agencies, trade references and the land titles office.
If a customer decides not to provide FarmWorks with the required personal information then FarmWorks may not be able to consider dealing with that party.
4. Transfer of Information
Where necessary, FarmWorks Australia and Livestock may disclose personal information within and amongst their various divisions and operations.
FarmWorks Australia may at times outsource certain other functions to other organisations, for this purpose personal information may be transferred to or handled by credit reference agencies, the companies' agents and the trade credit insurers.
Personal information may also be given to legal advisers, nominated referees, regulatory bodies, government agencies and law enforcement bodies and debt collecting agencies.
Financial Services will also provide personal information to its authorised representatives, BankWest and other organisations, who, with Financial Services, provide products or services to you.
5. Security Measures
FarmWorks does not sell or rent out any of the information it holds on its customers and protects the security of that information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. FarmWorks also take all reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is only used by employees or disclosed to other organisations to the extent necessary for our business purposes.
6. E-mail and internet use
FarmWorks will not attempt to identify users of it's website. FarmWorks will only use information provided to it via its ecommerce site for the primary purposes or a related secondary purpose for which it has been provided. It will only record an individual's email address if they send FarmWorks a message. An individual's e-mail address will only be used for the primary purpose or a related secondary purpose for which it has been provided.
7. Access to Personal information
